Fort William overview

Fort William has an enviable locale overlooking Loch Linnhe on the west Scottish coast just underneath lofty Ben Nevis in the Southern Scottish Highlands. This Highland town is perfect for those who fancy venturing out into Scotland proper. There are lochs (lakes) galore and the terrain is perfect for ardent hikers and for skiers in the winter. Views from Ben Nevis on a good day are unbelievable and you can even cheat and drive up it. Fort William itself is a fun place to be and the largest centre in the region. It naturally has good shopping and hotels and the best of it is along High Street. Trains come in from Glasgow.
