Glasgow overview

Glasgow, Scotland’s second, and largest, city sits just across from Edinburgh in the south of the country and has had a bad rap over the years. Considered an eyesore and rough ‘n ready for too long, Glasgow is today a fun and grand place for a visit as it boasts some of Scotland’s finest medieval city architecture. There are of course rough parts here, yet the local folks are generally as friendly as any other major city in Scotland, albeit a little abrupt. Glasgow is a fine city to wander around and do a spot of shopping as it has been thoroughly modernised and boasts many well know UK and international brands amid its busy pedestrianised thoroughfares. There are also many intriguing historical highlights, particularly within Medieval Glasgow, and plenty of greenery and golf courses to escape to.
